22 July 2024

Sunter, June 22, 2024 – In an effort to improve the quality and professionalism of drivers, held a competency test and certification for 20 truck drivers. This activity is part of the 2024 Workforce Competency Certification Program (PSKK) initiated by the Logistik Insan Prima Professional Certification Institute (LSP-LIP).

The event, held at ’s office in the Sunter area of North Jakarta, was attended by Management, LSP-LIP Director Henry Ruswoto, and a team of examiners including M. Lutfi representing the Indonesian Container Depot Association (Asdeki) and Mohammad Annas, a lecturer from Multimedia Nusantara University (UMN) Tangerang.

In his speech, LSP-LIP Director Henry Ruswoto emphasized the importance of competency certification for truck drivers. "Certified truck drivers should set a good example in performing their duties as drivers. Vehicle checks before operation are crucial and must be performed by truck drivers in addition to maintaining other safety aspects," said Henry.

Henry also asserted that drivers proven to drive recklessly will have their competency certificates revoked by LSP-LIP, demonstrating the institute’s seriousness in maintaining quality and safety standards in the transportation and logistics industry.

Fajar, representing management, expressed gratitude to LSP-LIP and the examiners for organizing the competency test. "This certification is vital for enhancing the company's HR development to remain competitive in the transportation and logistics sector," said Fajar. He added that is committed to continuously improving its drivers' competencies to provide the best service to customers.

The competency test process conducted by LSP-LIP included written tests, interviews, and practical tests covering health, security, safety, and both technical and non-technical operational aspects of trucking. To date, LSP-LIP has certified many truck drivers across Indonesia, in line with the increasing awareness among trucking companies to enhance their drivers' competencies.

Henry Ruswoto reiterated that competency certification is a new concept for truck drivers, but the program will be ongoing. "The point is that all professions, not just drivers, must have competency certificates," he said. This competency certificate, recognized by the National Professional Certification Board (BNSP), aims to ensure that Indonesia’s workforce possesses adequate professional skills and can anticipate the influx of foreign workers.

By conducting this competency test, demonstrates its commitment to enhancing professionalism and safety standards in the transportation and logistics industry, ensuring that its drivers possess nationally recognized skills and competencies.
